    Show &Tell

    Its time to show your stuff. Bring what you’ve been working on, that special tool, or Holiday gift. Share your progress and even ask questions. This is where we come together to learn, enjoy, share the fun of model Railroading. Can’t wait to see what everyone brings.

    Clinic: “Pulp Function”

    Dan Wiltshire will share his latest “Paper” creation that will be featured in LOTS Switcher publication. Dan turned to paper to create his fleet of semi Trailers to support the Johnson Controls Battery factory in St. Joseph Missouri. Looking forward to seeing this technique to add depth/detail to our layouts.

    2026 Turkey Creek Calendar

    Our new Superintendent Dan Wiltshire will review our upcoming 2026 Calendar and our Division’s financials for 2025 and projections for 2026. Will be a great time to get ready for the year’s events plus provide any feedback to consider as we move forward into 2026!

    Clinic: High Side Gondola

    Larry Alfred will provide info on building his High Side Gondola. This model won 1st Place Freight Cars in our MCoR Regional Convention AND the 45th National Narrow-Gauge Convention. Once again Larry has shown his superb Modeling skills. Make sure to attend so you can learn from his Award-winning techniques.

    It’s time to nominate next year’s positions. Of course, if you don’t show, someone will surely nominate you!!!

    Clinic: Modeling Military Traffic

    Bob Walz is back with even more information on Military and the railroad. In this clinic he will share how to model military traffic on our railroad. So, sit straight and with full attention as I’m sure we will learn a lot on how to apply Military traffic on our railroads. It should be fascinating so make sure you attend!

    Clinic: Regional 1st Place Diorama

    Ray Brown will provide an overview of his Oakboro Hay & Grain Diorama that won 1st place in our Regional Convention. The structure is a Banta kit with a few “adjustments”! Hopefully we will all learn a few of Ray’s tips and tricks on building such an awesome diorama.

    Turkey Creek Div. Modeling Challenge


    It’s here. It’s the great Modeling Challenge for all our members. Hopefully we will get lots of entries to enjoy and get inspired. Even if time has overtaken you and you don’t have something to show you don’t want to miss out on seeing the best of our members models for this year’s challenge. We always go around the room (Show & Tell style) to learn the secrets to what makes our models great. So come one come all and enjoy the “show”!

  • Division Meeting Sept 23rd 2025, 7pm
    Best of Show Review:

    Marc Sisk will be sharing information on his Best of Show diorama “Montana Flour Mill”. It will be great to see this awesome diorama and learn more about the history and techniques Marc used to construct it. If you missed seeing it at the show you won’t want to miss this clinic. If you did see it then you already know why this will be a must-see clinic.

    Clinic: Proto Trackwork

    Doug De Berg will share his real-life experiences and knowledge on how the “Real” railroads do trackwork. Learning more about the prototype always helps us in our scale model world and trackwork is one of the most important elements. I am sure you will join me in looking forward to exploring trackwork in 1:1 Scale.
