    Clinic: Railroad Geocaching


    Martin Wade will be sharing the fun of exploring Railroad history while on vacation. He and Lora have explored the RGS, the Colorado & Southern, and the Gilpin Tram on a couple Colorado vacations. We all know that railroad history helps guide the creation and operation of our layouts (even freelance). Geocaching is also a popular hobby as well. So how to bring these together and create a railroad version to explore and enjoy. Come join the fun where Martin shares how he preps and the ups and downs of searching and finding 100 year old railroad history.

    Clinic: Tree Scenery

    Alan Meinhold will host a “Hands-On” clinic on making trees. I’m sure you’ve seen tree clinics but this time Alan will demystify some of the steps and help get you to the finish line. So off the couch, join the fun, and just think your layout will now have at least one Tree in it’s scenery profile.

  • Division Meeting May 27th 2025, 7pm

    Missouri Model RR Museum Tour

    Bob Walz will be sharing some history on the Santa Fe in World War II. This clinic examines how the Santa Fe responded to the unprecedented challenges posed by World War II. The clinic describes the great increase in the number of military bases, and military production facilities served by the Santa Fe. It then examines the personnel, equipment and infrastructure challenges and the Santa Fe response. Finally, it looks at the Santa Fe response in terms of passenger, freight and military train operations. It concludes that the Santa Fe helped win World War II by providing timely transportation services to a greatly expanded customer base. History is one of the most fascinating parts of our hobby and always helps us when replicating in our modeled empires. Can’t wait to hear this one.
