    Clinic: Diesel Upgrade

    Dale Phetteplace will discuss how to repower a Life-Like Proto 2000 GP-7’s and GP-9’s for better performance and reliability. He will show the parts you need and don’t need to make a much better locomotive than the original. I’m sure this process will also help across other locos in our Engine Shed.

    Clinic: Creating Water Effects
    Marc Sisk will walk you through six easy steps to create a very realistic river or lake on your layout. Marc will use a cutaway prop for each step showing how to form your river or lakebed, through the pouring of your water and shaping. Marc uses Envirotex Lite to create his water effects. Use of all materials will be presented along with tips on materials and sources. The effects of water will enhance nearly all our layouts, so this tutorial is sure to be helpful to each of us and our home railroad empires!

  • Division Meeting Mar 25th 2025, 7pm

    Missouri Model RR Museum Tour

    We are back at the Missouri Model Railroad Museum to check on progress from last years “Tape on the floor” and “draft” plan. Dale Shipman will share the progress, journey and give us a first-hand tour. I have heard from several people that the progress is well worth the return visit. Remember, last year I said you have a chance to see something awesome created here in Kansas City. Don’t miss this update visit.

    Clinic: Harvey Girls

    Karen Meredith will share history, stories, and anecdotes of Fred Harvey and the infamous Harvey Houses and Harvey Girls. Karen is part of a group through the Sante Fe that has made many presentations to keep the memory alive
    and learn more of the history and impact on the Sante Fe travelers, our culture and even the “fast food restaurants we know today. My thanks to Karen for sharing her knowledge with our meeting.
